Innovation is doing something different that is also useful. Bottoms-up approaches include applying a new technology, new learning, solution for X in domain Y, splitting up solutions, optimizing part of it ….etc.

In Design thinking, innovation is finding Insights about human needs & desires = value & meaning for people
what they say, see, do (OBSERVATION), what matters to them (EMOTIONAL)

• Focus on actual task
• voice of consumer
• see things that have never discovered
• what is it that we are learning from them
• leave biases
• ‘how do we fix this problem’ => ‘looking at problem from a different lens”
• push for something that you really believe in
• unlock creative confidence
